The Reproductive Health Supplies Coalition (RHSC) has now expanded its online reference library, referred to as the Supplies Information Database (SID), in an effort to scale up critical knowledge-sharing. This expansion is great news for researchers, practitioners and other stakeholders looking for a comprehensive listing of up-to-date, reliable information.
RHSC is a global partnership constituting of different public, private, and non-governmental organizations which include multilateral and bilateral organizations, private foundation, governments, civil society and private-sector representatives. This partnership works to provide low- and middle-income countries with necessary health supplies for better reproductive health.
The SID has now been expanded to contain over 7000 records from more than 230 countries and territories. Records in the reference library date as far back as 1980.
The SID is continuously updated, and also has new search fields which include key life-saving maternal health commodities and outputs of the RHSC's Innovation Fund, a small grants initiative for partners from the Global South. SID was originally developed by John Snow Inc., with funding from The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
