Within the next few years, the global development landscape as we know it will change dramatically. The International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) Programme of Action and the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), which have guided development efforts for the past few decades, will soon expire. Stakeholders are now presented with the opportunity to reflect on how these international agreements have or have not served our efforts, and how a new framework could best guide the path forward.
Women Deliver has been surveying our colleagues and partners to develop key recommendations for ensuring that maternal, sexual and reproductive health and rights will be at the center of the new framework, and advocating for these recommendations to be considered at the highest level. From our own regional consultations and global conference to Rio +20, the United Nations General Assembly, and beyond, we are ensuring that all voices have a say in the blueprints of our collective future.
