Doing Business and Doing Good for Girls and Women

Women Deliver is committed to working with the commercial private sector to improve the health of girls and women. Eliminating the more than 350,000 maternal deaths occurring every year is a monumental task—one that cannot be accomplished alone. Rather, it requires cooperation, collaboration, and contribution from all. We must work together and find unique ways for every organization, from civil society to corporations, to impact the MDGs and improve girls’ and women’s health.

Women Deliver engages the commercial private sector in 2 main ways: First, corporate executives and other representatives participate in, contribute to, and attend Women Deliver’s global conference, which occurs every 3 years and which has played a significant role in making girls and women a priority on the global development agenda.

Second, Women Deliver has formed The C-Exchange—an innovative and proactive way for companies to do business and do good for girls and women. The C-Exchange brings together the public and private sectors to increase access to life-saving technologies, realize the targets of MDG5, and promote the whole health of girls and women. The broad approach of The C-Exchange offers girls and women the greatest chance of living full and productive lives.
